**About the role**

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Child and Family Team Leader in the child protection sector who will be responsible for overseeing all functions of service delivery and practice. You will play a pivotal role providing leadership, coaching and performance management to all staff across the Moreton Bay, Intensive Family Support Team.

In this role you will:

- Oversee the initial screening and intake processes, co-ordination, ongoing review and evaluation of the single case plan, and the provision of direct in-home support services to families;
- Provide direct supervision and mentoring to professional and para-professional staff providing advice, referral and support services to families and the community;
- Provide direct support services to families when the need arises, particularly for highly complex cases;
- Work collaboratively with the Local Level Alliance and other key stakeholders (family members, counsellors, school/teachers, police, health professionals, community support services), you will negotiate an intervention plan to meet the individual needs of the child, young person and their family;
- Perform position responsibilities in accordance with the Sanctuary Model of Care framework.

This fixed-term, full-time contract is due to end in **February 2024.**

Remuneration for this role is $49.07 - $51.24 per hour commensurate with experience.

**About you**

You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them. You are recognised for your compassionate nature and approachability. You will have well-developed communication and leadership skills with the ability to establish and build rapport with people.

Your experience and qualifications should include:

- Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in a human services context;
- A good understanding of child development and trauma theory, to inform assessment and decision making;
- Current driver's licence;
- Current National Police Check, or the ability to acquire;
- Current Blue Card, or the ability to acquire.
