At Jetstar, we are seeking an experienced API Integration Specialist to play a leading role in evolving our API distribution capabilities through a major software uplift initiative that will optimise selling, servicing and management controls and enable us to deliver a more comprehensive set of Jetstar products and services.

As the API Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for defining the integration roadmap, developer experience and onboarding process to deliver maximum customer and commercial value across sales and servicing flows.

To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of attention to detail, with prior experience in API testing or quality assurance. In addition, you will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, to establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders as well as our reservation system provider and key API partners.

Requirements and qualifications:

- 3 - 5+ years professional experience in relevant roles, preferable in the Digital or IT space
- Tertiary qualification in a related field
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman and SOAPUI highly desirable
- Experience with Rest APIs, GraphQL, Selenium or similar framework preferred
- Experience in creating tools which helps in generating test data, creating Input JSONs and XMLs preferred
- Experience working for an airline, major travel agent chain or travel technology provider preferred
- Previous experience with Splunk preferred
- Experience in Agile ways of working
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with external partners, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to analyse problems, map processes, identify gaps, visualise and communicate potential solutions
- Experience working in a high-paced environment
- Comfortable working with cross-location and cross-cultural teams
