As the Principal Governance Officer, you will collaborate with various business areas, stakeholders, and senior management to cultivate an accountable culture and enhance the organisation's trustworthiness.
Key accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Providing high level governance advice, information and support to clients, the director and senior managers on a broad range of governance matters.
- Leading governance initiatives and activities including audit management, business planning and corporate reporting.
- Co-ordinating and preparing project plans, comprehensive reports and briefing notes on governance related issues for senior management.
- Liaising, negotiating, developing and maintaining productive working relationships with business partners, QRO's divisions and other government agencies to influence successful outcomes.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate**:

- Experience and expertise in leading and managing the development and implementation of good governance practices and processes within a government environment.
- High level negotiation, consultation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
