You will be part of Queensland Government Procurement - Policy which provides expert procurement policy advice and support to Queensland Government agencies. These services are designed to enable agencies to achieve the outcomes of the Buy Queensland approach in their procurement activities.Buy Queensland approach comprises the Queensland Procurement Strategy 2023 -Jobs, Economy, Legacy, Confidence and Queensland Procurement Policy 2023. Buy Queensland uses the power of procurement to provide goods and services while creating positive change in Queenslanders' lives.In this role you will be part of a small team of policy professionals responsible for the ongoing stewardship and management of the Queensland Procurement Strategy and the Queensland Procurement Policy, along with related whole-of-government guidance, tools and templates.The Principal Strategy and Policy Officer position may manage a small number of direct reports.Key responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining whole-of-government procurement strategy, policy and guidance that supports value for money in procurement, including pursuing government's economic, ethical, environmental and social outcomes for all Queenslanders now and into the future. Undertaking research, analysis and consultation to address complex policy issues and continuously improve procurement strategy, policy and guidance. Providing expert advice and presentations to government and non-government stakeholders. Providing input into and/or reviewing, Cabinet submissions and strategy and policy proposals, to ensure procurement-related issues and opportunities are identified and addressed. Ensuring on-time delivery of high quality outputs. Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
