**Full time, fixed term position until 31 December 2025**
**To be successful you will need**:
- A PhD in biochemistry, protein chemistry, molecular biology or related fields.
- Knowledge and skills in molecular biology, cloning technologies, PCR, plasmid and primer design
- Experience in expressing recombinant proteins in various hosts such as E. coli, insect cells, and experience in protein purification by various chromatographic techniques including but not limited to IMAC, IEC, HIC, SEC etc
- Experience in establishing protein assay techniques and investigating the interactions between biomolecules with targets
- Demonstrated track record of high quality research related to protein engineering, biomolecular design, construct design, plasmid and primer design, and evidence of writing and publishing research articles in high-impact journals.
- Experience in liaising and collaborating with external agencies, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
**Desirable**:
- Experience in molecular dynamic modelling
- Experience in interfacial chemistry, colloids and interface science including foaming technology or particle technology, biomolecule-particle interactions
- Experience in leading a project and co-supervising students.
