- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the role**
- In this role, you will serve as a key member of the Diabetes Service within the Nutrition & Dietetics Department, providing clinical leadership, education, and expert knowledge in the designated clinical area. You will work with a team of dietitians across the Diabetes Referral Centre, our technology-enabled GDM clinic, and the Diabetes in Pregnancy MDT.- Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of Nutrition & Dietetic services in your clinical area, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, consumer-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Teaching, supervising, and supporting dietitians, students, and clinicians from other disciplines.
- Continuously monitoring and improving services through Quality Improvement or Research activities, aligned with the Barwon Health Strategic Plan and the Nutrition & Dietetics Business Plan.
- All activities will reflect current best-practice guidelines and professional standards for Nutrition & Dietetics, and will adhere to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, and departmental guidelines.- Primarily based at University Hospital Geelong and Barwon Health North, the role may also involve work at other Barwon Health locations as needed, including McKellar Centre, Residential Aged Care, and Mental Health. Flexibility in availability to support service delivery initiatives is essential.-
