**About the Role**
Reporting into our Head of Technology Risk, Cyber Security and Risk this exciting role is one of the most critical roles within our Technology Risk team. Working directly with our Head of Technology Risk, Chief Information Security Officer and our Group Tech leadership team, you will be responsible for risk governance, reporting, external audit co-ordination and APRA engagement. Excitingly the breadth of this role covers all aspects of operational risk and IT risk management.

As a leadership role will see you supporting our Head of Tech Risk in leading risk governance within the Group Tech Division. The role also covers:

- Developing insightful, forward looking, actionable risk reporting. It brings together work undertaken by the team on IT risks and controls, incidents and issue management, control self-assessment, key risk indicators, treatment plans / actions and technology risk roadmap activities.
- Working with the Group Tech LT to set the agenda, co-ordination and delivery of the Group Tech Risk Committee, which is chaired by the Group CIO. The role forms part of the Committee and is the Secretary’s alternate.
- Reporting on key risk performance matters (including relevant Board Risk Appetite metrics) to the Group Tech Business Performance Reviews, EXCO and Board Risk Committees.
- Supporting the HO Tech in leading the co-ordination and quality assurance of Group Tech submissions for APRA meetings.
- Supporting the HO Tech in leading Group Tech’s relationship, governance and management with External Audit. It includes co-ordination, monitoring progress and reporting on Group Tech external audit issues.
- Supporting the HO Tech in leading risk culture initiatives and implementation of the supporting risk frameworks within Group Tech.
- Supporting the HO Tech in leading the delivery of risk education series sessions within Group Tech.
- Supporting HO Tech on Program rQ (as required) and findings from the APRA Operational Risk, Compliance and Risk Culture Review (2023).
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the technology risk maturity roadmap.
- Supporting special initiatives, per the direction of HO Technology Risk and Chief Information Security and Technology Risk Officer.

The roles is also a key contributor to Group CIOs submissions for EXCO and Board Risk Committees, and also brings to life and sets the direction of the Group Tech Risk Committee.

**About you**
As an experienced Risk Leader, you will join us with extensive exposure to Risk within the Technology, Regulatory Compliance and Governance landscape - yip, you live and breathe it. This role will see you supporting our Head of Tech Risk in leading risk governance within the Group Tech Division. The role covers:

- Proven leadership skills in operational risk and IT risk management, including risk governance.
- People leadership skills to work collaboratively, supporting each other while achieving results timely and with high quality.
- Ability to effectively communicate, influence and negotiate across various levels including divisional leadership teams, external auditors, regulators etc.
- Self and team member leadership, including coaching / mentoring other team members as opportunities arise.
- Proven leadership ability to drive positive risk culture behaviours, actions and awareness within Group Tech.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with internal and external teams.
- The ability to work independently and prioritise work to manage conflicting deadlines.
