About the role

Eastern Health is recruiting General Hospital Medical Officers (Year 2) for the 2024 medical year. The General stream is suited to HMOs seeking to establish a Critical Care or GP career or for those who are still determining their career direction and wish to strengthen their foundation through access to broad, relevant clinical experience.

Eastern Health welcomes junior medical staff into a supportive and stimulating workplace and our excellent postgraduate medical education unit is headed by a Director and supported by four site based Supervisors of Junior Doctor Training, two Medical Education Officers and an Administrative assistant. The unit provides both an intern and HMO education program, and includes a junior doctor podcast, grand rounds and unit specific education.
