We are the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. We lead Australia’s response to climate change and sustainable energy use, and help protect our environment, heritage, and water. We provide advice to the Australian Government around climate, energy, and the environment, and administer legislation.

- manage Australia’s water resources for industry and regional communities, and advance Australia’s interests in the Antarctic and Southern Ocean.

**About the Branch**
The People Branch sits within the department’s People Division and is responsible for strategic and operational focused human resources (HR) advice and support services, to support business areas in meeting their workforce needs.

**About the Team**
The Workforce Planning and Reporting Section supports the department by developing workforce solutions, either through workforce planning via a combination of approaches, to meet the department’s current and future needs. Working in partnership across the branch, division and department, the team provides services and advice on employment frameworks, workforce planning, succession, metric and analysis, classification management, organisation structure management and surge capability.

**The Workforce Planning and Reporting Section** offers the department a high level of expertise and is forward-looking in its focus, as well as providing day to day support in resolving emerging operational issues. **About the roles**
As part of the Establishments team (within the broader Workforce Planning and Reporting Section), you will be responsible for actioning various establishments tasks while ensuring high client satisfaction. You will also work collaboratively across the People Branch including regularly providing contributions to the Workforce Planning team and the HR Reporting team to ensure that they are able to provide high-quality service that is aligned to Department priorities to employees.

As the
**APS 4 in the Establishments team**, you will:

- support the management of establishments by maintaining positions in the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) including working with stakeholders to ensure positions are within the department's funding,
- maintain the department's organisation structure in the HRMIS,
- maintain establishments business rules and processes that provide a high level of data governance whilst ensuring customers are at the centre of the process under close supervision,
- undertake regular position data verification processes to ensure consistent high quality data accuracy under close supervision,
- provide draft advice and interpretation of HR data where required,
- contribute to project work across the section and branch, including collaboration and team work with others to achieve results.

As the
**APS 5 in the Establishments team**, you will:

- manage establishments by maintaining positions in the HRMIS including working with stakeholders to ensure positions are within the department's funding,
- maintain the department's organisation structure in the HRMIS,
- develop and maintain establishments business rules and processes that provide a high level of data governance whilst ensuring customers are at the centre of the process with mínimal supervision,
- identify and provide feedback on efficiencies and opportunities to improve and/or streamline systems and processes,
- undertake regular position data verification processes to ensure consistent high quality data accuracy with mínimal supervision,
- manage restructures in the HRMIS as necessary by working with a range of stakeholders to ensure a timely implementation whilst maintaining a high level of data quality,
- manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals, including the development and support of complex relationships and maintaining internal and external networks,
- provide expert advice and interpretation of HR data, including preparing relevant strategic advice where required,
