**Location **Masada College is located in St Ives in Sydney’s leafy North Shore; a 20 minute drive

This role is required on campus Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role & Key Responsibilities

**Summary **The Jewish Studies teacher plays an essential role at Masada College, ensuring that

our students have a deep understanding of Jewish life, history and traditions. Our

Jewish Studies teachers shape our students to be responsible Jewish citizens.
- Shomrei Mitzvot
- Passionate about Jewish Education
- Experience teaching Tanach text
- Provide relevant material and documentation to the College Executive
- Perform all the administrative and organisational aspects required of the role.
- Work collaboratively with secular staff and look for opportunities to bring

Judaism and Israel into their curriculum areas.
- Support school wide initiatives (e.g. embracing a Culture of Thinking)
- Foster and be a voice for the Jewish ethos of the College.
- Be a role model for the Masada College Community
- Attend and contribute to Shabbatonim and Jewish Life Camps
- Liaise and represent the College at events that are organised by various

Jewish community institutions
- Attending school events to support students and staff, thus promoting the

Jewish ethos of the College and also building and nurturing relationships in

the Masada community
- Be involved in executing informal Jewish Life events
- Participate in morning Tefillah
