About the role

Bring your social service experience to this rewarding and challenging role leading an effective and high functioning team of Central Intake Practitioners to deliver high quality treatment and support for participants who access residential services.

You will successfully
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure strong teamwork, participant focus and consistency of practice.
- Provide assistance with developing the quality of practice across the residential rehabilitation services, through case note audits and reflective practice sessions
- Coordinate the effective management of residential wait lists including wait list support groups and bed allocation for The Salvation Army (TSA) residential rehabilitation programs in Victoria (Bendigo Bridge, Bridgehaven and The Basin)
- Coordinate the review and acknowledgment of all referrals received for the residential rehabilitation programs, ensuring risk and prioritisation requirements are noted and clients are responded to in a timely manner
- Provide support as required to clients who are on waiting lists for residential rehabilitation

This is a 12 month full time position. Location is flexible within Victoria at one of our AOD Services. Travel within the state will be involved for this role.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.

About you
- Minimum diploma level qualification in Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or relevant field.
- Relevant experience in a social service environment, preferably AOD and/or Mental Health
- Completion of, or willingness to complete, the AOD Skillset
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Willingness to undergo a national criminal history and work eligibility check
