**The Hospital**

Major 351 bed acute teaching hospital with one of the Queensland's busiest and best performing emergency departments. Specialities including anaesthetics, emergency, medicine, surgery, intensive and coronary care, orthopaedics, obstetrics, paediatrics, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health and allied health services. Servicing the area with a comprehensive paediatric support network, consisting of the Connected Care Program, the Child Protection Unit and Paediatric Medical and Surgical Outpatients. The Paediatric Service is part of the Greater Brisbane Metropolitan Hospitals working with the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital to give paediatric patients and families the right care in the right place at the right time.

**The Location**

Only 30 minutes to Brisbane CBD this location offers the best of both rural and city living. Within easy driving you will have access to the Flinders-Goolman and White Rock - Spring Mountain conservation estate; a diverse region of forested ridges, escarpments and valleys and rugged volcanic peaks. Early colonial buildings stand proud in the city centre, lovingly restored Queenslander's perch on hills and quaint townships dot the surrounding countryside. The city has plenty on offer from laneway cafes and restaurants to heritage, cultural and arts experiences for the whole family.

**The Position**

This position will join a team of registrars and principal house officers involved in caring for children and their families in an inpatient and ambulatory care setting. Children's Ward consists of 23 beds caring for medical, surgical, ear, nose and throat and orthopaedic patients.

**To be eligible for this opportunity, you must have**
- Current AHPRA registration or eligible for registration with AHPRA.

**Salary**: $120,995.72 - $161,582.67 per year
