About the committee
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join us as an Independent Member of our Governance Committee which is a committee to the LHG Board. The committee assists the board by providing objective non-executive oversight of LHG’s Governance Framework by:

- Developing and reviewing governance policies and procedures.
- Providing induction and training programs for Board members.
- Regularly reviewing the performance of the Board as a whole and evaluating the contribution of individual members.

This committee meets approximately 4 to 5 times a year. Independent members play a crucial role in governance, and therefore, these positions are paid on a per meeting basis.

Personal capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills to critically assess governance frameworks and identify areas for improvement.
- Capability to think strategically about governance and its impact on the organisation’s overall direction and success.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in governance practices.
