The Sidrah Gardens School is a small 160 place Primary School underpinned by a genuine, sincere concern for the social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of students.

Our commitment is to the development of long term reciprocal relationships between teachers, students and families where teachers play a guiding role in the lives of students.

The school is set on 22 acres of densely vegetated land at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Narre Warren North. Over 5800 trees have been planted lending itself to extensive opportunities for students to explore, discover and contemplate. We believe students’ interactions with nature are learning experiences that foster the development of empathy, care, compassion and responsibility.

The culture of the community is informed by Islamic values coupled with a strong focus on fostering in students a positive Muslim Australian identity to create confident global citizens. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, inspiring and skillful professionals.

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER: Physical Education (Commencing 2024)

Applications are sought from experienced Physical Education Teachers who demonstrate:

- Strong academic qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional learning
- Capacity to plan, implement and assess whole school programs.
- Commitment to child safety and implementation of effective and positive teaching strategies to improve outcomes.
- Capacity to develop constructive and positive relationships with students, parents and staff by using high level of written and verbal communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills.
- Commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice.
- Willingness to work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of the requirements of outdoor learning in an educational setting
- Enthusiasm for working with children, and have the knowledge and ability to support their achievement
- Planning, teaching and evaluating collaboratively with teachers to ensure the effective integration of outdoor and inquiry into student learning
- Being actively involved in the development as well as the maintenance of the School Resources
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, parents at all levels.
- Experience in an educational environment
