**About the role**

The Student Learning & Welfare Support contributes to and improves the student experience by encouraging student engagement, facilitating the maximisation of student learning opportunities, promoting student access and delivering a range of oriented services and development programs. Sitting within this teram, the Student Experience Officer drives student engagement, coordinating and implementing Student Orientation and a calendar of student events, including regular weekly activities and larger events, with the aim of enhancing retention, student success and a sense of belonging on campus.

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- Experience with organising, promoting and running student orientation and events within a budget;
- Be punctual and reliable, meet deadlines, deal with competing priorities;
- Attention to detail, including record keeping, invoicing, proofreading and editing skill
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills at all levels from executive to students, outgoing and approachable manner.
- Work independently while ensuring adequate consultation
- IT literacy, preferably with student management systems, engagement platforms and social media and experience with engaging students via these spaces.
