**BI Analyst (12 Month Contract)**

We use data analytics, data modelling and data forecasting to create a seamless customer experience, from suggesting sizes based on other brands you wear, to offering personalised product recommendations.
We are a driving force behind our business strategies and decisions. We are integrated into all departments to ensure all employees at THE ICONIC have access to good quality and timely data. From insights to extracts, we can assist.
**A bit about the role**
This role is a 12 month contract, where you will work alongside skilled and collaborative team members as we transform our data infrastructure and ensure that datasets for self-service and reporting are available at the highest quality.
Our systems handle a massive amount of traffic, and with more than 5 million customers visiting our site each month, the volume of data is large. Our BI Specialists work with data at scale and get hands-on experience in all facets of the data that we collect.
**What you'll do**
- **Universal Analytics and GA4 Expertise**: Leverage your comprehensive knowledge of both Universal Analytics and GA4 to track, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with business objectives. As an expert you will be able to map the GA4 data to BigQuery and help in enabling our behavioural mesh
- **Migration Planning**: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive migration plan from UA to GA4, including data mapping, tracking implementation, and data validation strategies.
- **Data Mapping and Development**: Based on the migration plan, build a behavioural mesh in BigQuery by analysing the existing UA implementation and map data points to their corresponding counterparts in GA4, ensuring accurate and consistent tracking of key metrics and events.
- **Data Validation**: Develop and execute thorough testing plans to validate the accuracy and integrity of migrated data in GA4, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the migration process.
- **Data Visualization**: Develop visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Looker Studio) to effectively communicate findings and trends to stakeholders.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Development, to provide analytical support, answer ad hoc data-related queries, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
- I**ndustry Trends and Best Practices**: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to clickstream analysis, Universal Analytics, GA4, and data analytics as a whole.
**Here's what you need to set you off on an ICONIC Journey**
- Strong proficiency in using Google Analytics, including expertise in both Universal Analytics and GA4.
- Extensive experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on Universal Analytics, GA4 and clickstream analysis.
- At least 4+ years of proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using any of Data Warehouse tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
**Here's some extra things you may bring to the table**
- Experience in migration from Universal Analytics to GA4 (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with any of the data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI etc)
- Providing data solutions in a retail environment.
- Degree in Statistics, Information Management or other relevant technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with dbt, Python and/or R programming.
