Hunter Integrated Pain Service, located in the beautiful city of Newcastle, is a tertiary hospital based pain management service accredited by the faculty of pain medicine for both years of pain training (Core training and Professional Development). Based in the Hunter New England Local Health District, it services patients across a wide geographical area receiving referrals for patients with chronic non-cancer pain, cancer pain, end of life pain and acute complex pain. HIPS has a holistic approach to pain management and is a multidisciplinary service comprising of pain medical specialist, nurse specialist, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, pain physiotherapist and dietitians.

**Applicants will**:

- Have MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia. Should hold a specialist degree in the accepted disciplines as per Faculty of Pain Medicine
- Meet the registration requirements for a trainee of the Faculty of Pain Medicine
- Be fully informed of all requirements of pain medicine training and undertake required activities to complete the pain training program, seeking appropriate guidance as needed
- Participate in clinical and non-clinical duties as arranged by the Director of HIPS or Supervisor of Training
