**Where you'll be working**
**We will be recruiting two temporary full time positions - 2FTE for 12-14 months.**

You will be working with Hunter New England Imaging sites at the John Hunter Hospital and Calvary Mater Newcastle hospitals.

**What you'll be doing**

You will be providing high quality, efficient, safe, customer focused radiology service. You will liaise with Clinical referrers, supervise the day-to-day workload, including sedation and contrast administration and performing interventional procedures under supervision in the Radiology Department of John Hunter and Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospitals. You will provide preliminary reporting of cases prior to Staff Specialist validation. Case mix includes referrals from the Emergency department, the specialty Wards, Oncology services and outpatient services. Exposure is across all modalities including CT, US, MRI, Fluoroscopy and Mammography/Digital Breast Tomosynthesis.

**What skills and experience do they require?**
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Working towards achieving specialist qualifications with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) - International Medical Graduates with recognition of prior training and/or qualifications in Radiology and deemed at least partially comparable as per RANZCR assessment.
- Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training including supervision of junior medical staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level.
- Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster.
- Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Sufficient clinical experience in order to undertake the key accountabilities for this role.
- Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training including supervision of junior medical staff.
