**The Opportunity**

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a **Shift Mechanical Tradesperson** in our **Slabmaking** team based in **Port Kembla**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

The Slabmaking Department at Port Kembla is responsible for the conversion of blast furnace iron and steel scrap into molten steel and then casting into slabs. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join the BOS Asset Team within Slabmaking

**What Will You Do?**
- working safely in all situations by following BlueScope and Slabmaking safety procedures, policies and practices.
- isolate equipment and perform maintenance and breakdown tasks
- fulfil the roles in the SSW process
- resolve issues and fix any non-conformances
- undertake repairs, maintenance duties.
- troubleshooting / problem solving / root cause analysis, reporting and rectification.
- liaising effectively with operations, other maintenance team members.
- ability to use SAP preferred

**More About You**

You will have a strong technical background with the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment. You will also have:

- mechanical trade qualifications (any additional training or qualifications and high-risk licences)
- experience within a maintenance function
- experience working both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
