The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is responsible for the management and stewardship of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the Domain, the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah. The Trust incorporates the Australian Institute of Botanical Science and is one of the country’s leading international tourism businesses.

**About the role**

The Collection Curator maintains and enhances the preserved collections and associated electronic data of the National Herbarium of NSW whilst providing support to the research programs of the National Herbarium of NSW. The role is also responsible for loan processes including curation, receipt correspondence, maintenance of accurate botanical loan records, compliance with national and international regulation and legislation, specimen wrapping and treatment, and advancing expertise in collection care.

**About You**

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in a science discipline, or comparable qualification(s), with experience in systematic botany, plant taxonomy and/or ecology.
- Demonstrated experience in herbarium curation procedures, plant identification and working in a scientific research environment.
- Experience in botanical and/or collections related research and fieldwork.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the flora of New South Wales.
- Current drivers' licence.
