As the People Connect Lead, you’ll be responsible for delivering people services across the employee lifecycle. You’ll lead a team of People and Culture (P&C) Operations Specialists to ensure a strong operational excellence and continuous improvement culture. While also leading initiatives and projects that enhance the team’s service offering and ultimately creating an enhanced people experience.

Day-to-day, you will:

- Deliver seamless, quality operational services, ensuring your team is able to provide accurate and timely advice to employees and people leaders across the business.
- Develop talent, you will have a strong focus on coaching and mentoring, fostering knowledge share, confidence and a desire to continuously improve within your team.
- Enable and embed self service, you’ll play a key role in shaping and implementing improved ways of working to ultimately deliver a positive employee experience.
- Build effective relationships with People and Culture and the broader Transurban community, working closely and collaboratively with (but not limited to) Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Remuneration and Benefits, Continuous Improvement and technology teams.
- Drive design of and project manage implementation of solutions and services to refine processes, improve efficiency, increase effectiveness and enhance people experience of People Connect and P&C.
- You’ll be excited by the broad exposure on offer, with the chance to contribute to key transformational initiatives across the broader P&C team.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

- Key to your success will be a continuous improvement mindset, helping our P&C function deliver best practice people services.
- Broad HRIS / HCM systems exposure, with a strong preference for Workday HCM.
- Strong Generalist Human Resources / P&C exposure (full employee lifecycle) with formal qualifications in a related discipline viewed favourably.
- Relevant experience as a leader of teams, ideally formed in a complex, holistic operations environment with a focus on providing a tailored and adaptable service offering.
- An in-built customer service ethos, having gained prior experience in a role/s that required quick thinking, potentially in a service centre / service orientated corporate function.
- You’ll be approachable and adaptable, liaising with stakeholders at all levels, and won’t be afraid to provide coaching and to educate when appropriate.
- You’ll thrive in a fast paced environment, consistently demonstrating high levels of drive and energy to deliver whilst problem solving complex issues and challenges.
- You’ll demonstrate great communication and engagement skills - you will be able to bring together people from across the business and won’t be afraid to have difficult conversations.With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
