Our client, a well renowned public sector entity, that services over 20,000 customers in the South Gippsland region is in need of an experienced Administrative Officer to assist the Procurement and Fleet Coordinator. This is a full time 12 months fixed term position that has the ability to offer a flexible work arrangement.

Based in Leongatha, your duties will include:

- Assisting with tenders and agreements as required
- Document correlation
- Maintaining a range of databases
- Provide advice and support to the coordinator and other staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement
- Other duties as per PD and as directed by the coordinator

You will need to demonstrate:

- Experience within a similar role
- An understanding of tenders and government procurement practices
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and proven time management capabilities
- Effective communicator with the ability to create trusting relationships
- Proficient computer skills, with experience across MS Office, CRM and accounting software
- Understands the necessity of a structured document management system (DMS) and has demonstratable experience in creating and or maintaining a DMS
- Strong communication and organizing skills including well developed written and oral skills
- Experience in local or state government with knowledge in end-to-end procurement pertaining to VGPB guidelines, acts and legislation
- Proficient in computer skills and associated technology such as SharePoint, tendering software
- Contract management experience including managing disputes, and mitigating risks
