**About the role**

As the Gallery Coordinator - Operations & Engagement, you will join the leadership team of the Gallery and working with the Gallery Director and Senior Curator to collaborate as a member of the Culture, Community and Recreation Group in delivering Maitland City Council’s Operational Plan. This includes but is not limited to providing high level strategic, business and audience development support to the Gallery Director and working in partnership with the curatorial and vibrant city teams to develop marketing and digital engagement strategies to promote and enhance Gallery services and initiatives. This role will also manage visitor services, oversee the management of the Gallery’s retail operation and manage, develop and support the Gallery’s volunteers to ensure compliance all while providing expertise, guidance, supervision and leadership.

**About you**

You will have a strong interest in sharing art and culture with the community. To be successful in this role you will have degree qualifications in an arts related field or equivalent coupled with solid experience in an arts or cultural environment including Australian visual arts.

You will have demonstrated experience in arts administration and its operations with the ability to develop, manage and monitor budgets. As a natural leader with a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and influencing skills you will have the ability to manage staff to successfully deliver defined outcomes.

**Benefits**
This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $95,075 - $105,065 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10.5% p.a. super.
