**Curriculum and Learning**
Through an inquiry-driven, concept-based curriculum, students learn critical thinking, social, communication, self-management, and research skills. Our students develop skills in self-management of their learning, developing social and emotional skills essential for becoming well-rounded individuals. The IB PYP Learner Profile Attributes are woven within everything we do, to ensure they are developed in each child during their years in the programme.

We offer a range of activities in sports, visual arts, performing arts, ICT, French, choir, instrumental music/singing, Children¿s University, school productions and lunch clubs. **Community and Facilities**
Mornington Primary has been an integral part of the community for nearly 150 years. Located near Mornington's central business district, our students engage with their local environment through inquiry units and walking excursions to key landmarks, natural environments, businesses and community organisations.
The locals refer to the school as '_Vale Street'_ and many generations from the same families have attended the school over the years, both as students and staff. The administration building is the original 1878 building and the facade is well known in the area. In 2018, we opened a modern facility with flexible learning spaces, break-out areas, and indoor/outdoor spaces for cooking, art, and collaborative learning. Our school serves around 450 students in 20 classes across Prep, Junior (1-2), Middle (3-4), and Senior (5-6) teams, with specialist programs in STEAM, Performing Arts, PE, and French.
With a focus on continuous improvement, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and dynamic education for every student.
**Selection Criteria**:
**SC1** Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.

**Hours Required**:
**Monday to Friday - ( Before School Hours 7.30am - 9.00am)**
**Monday, Wednesday & Friday ( After School Hours : 3pm - 5pm )**
**Tuesday & Thursday ( After School Hours : 3pm - 6pm )**
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the _Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic)_ or its successor. Supervision of students can be required individually or in groups up to 4 in controlled circumstances and where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Certification and/or qualifications of up to three years can be required at this level (noting that Registered Nurse is not included at this level, the first level for which is Level 1 range 3).
A role at this range may include:
