We have an opportunity for a Fisheries Manager to be part of our Fisheries & Aquaculture Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

You will be passionate about representing the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) and committed to delivering sustainable fisheries management outcomes for commercial, recreational and Aboriginal traditional fishing sectors, consistent with the _Fisheries Management Act 2007_.

You will be responsible for leading a collaborative approach with industry, other government departments, and divisions across PIRSA to deliver a range of fisheries and aquaculture related services.

To be successful in this position, you will have strong influencing skills and the ability to independently engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, being politically astute while managing relations in a professional and courteous manner. Preferably with experience in fisheries management and policy development.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

ASO6 - $97,022 min - $102,626 max per annum, plus superannuation
