We act for Personal Injury, Insolvency, Workcover, Common Law and Contesting will claims - we are looking for a legal secretary/assistant to assist a Senior Solicitor's with preparation and running of case files.
**About you the role**:
- Provide administrative support to solicitor
- Communicate with clients and legal, court and medical staff
- Monitor and facilitate the meeting of deadlines by maintaining procedures, agendas, legal calendar and reminders
- Schedule appointments with clients, witnesses, interpreters, barristers, court related meetings and manage teleconferencing.
- Prepare correspondence and court documents, briefs to counsel, court books and discovery
- Produce and file legal documents such as writs, appeals, FOI's etc. in a timely manner
- Preserve an updated case record system and record meeting discussions, maintain transcripts, documents and evidence
- Write up minutes, diary notes, memoranda and dictations.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Must be experienced in a legal working environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and ability to work with legal technology.
- Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and typing skills
- Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
