**About the role**

RACQ is looking for a Deceased Estate Officer to join the Banking Specialty Services team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading file management and administrative activities of the deceased estates process. These activities include but are not limited to Deceased Estates and Government requests, where front facing communication is required with grieving individuals, Estate representatives, Government employees and Offices.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Undertake day-to-day processing for Deceased Estates administration.
- Provide a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence during interactions.
- File development for each deceased estate inclusive of regulatory documentation
- Inbound and outbound phone calls to notifiers, Executors, solicitors, and government departments
- Ensure compliance with executor management, Bank, and external regulatory requirements.
- Develops and maintains strong professional relationships with internal departments to achieve service level agreements whilst maintaining a courteous and thoughtful member experience.
- Management of correspondence and dispute resolution.
- The pay for this role is EBA - 4B rate.

**About you**:

- You will have several years of experience in financial services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to compare information quickly and accurately to ensure quality of work.
- Proven experience working with vulnerable members, with the ability to assist them through a difficult situation.
- Possess a strong ability to understand, interpret and analyse numerical data and statistical information.
- Handson experience with handling challenging conversations and providing reassurance and solutions.
- Previous experience or general knowledge of Deceased Estate government legislation and administration
- Experience in a legal administration team desirable
