RTS leverages the in-house capabilities within Downer to offer integrated solutions covering rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, as well as system integration. We are currently seeking **experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team **based in Pakenham, Victoria. These positions are a full-time fixed
- term contract ending March 2024.**

**About the roles**:
Our Mechanical Fitters form a key component of the Downer Rail manufacturing team and will be primarily responsible for the major modifications of new and refurbished rollingstock. We have multiple positions available.

**Your day will entail**:

- Modification of refurbished rollingstock and associated equipment.
- Assembly of passenger vehicles
- Completing all documentation and inspection check sheets

**Specific desired skills and experience**:

- **Trade qualified - Certificate lll in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter)**:

- Ability to work unsupervised and be a hands-on team player
- Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks
- Flexible and resourceful
- Strong communication skills.
