RTS leverages the in-house capabilities within Downer to offer integrated solutions covering rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, as well as system integration.

We are currently seeking
experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team based in Pakenham, Victoria. These positions are a full-time fixed
- term contract ending March 2024.**
About the roles:Our Mechanical Fitters form a key component of the Downer Rail manufacturing team and will be primarily responsible for the major modifications of new and refurbished rollingstock. We have multiple positions available.

Your day will entail:

  • Modification of refurbished rollingstock and associated equipment.
  • Assembly of passenger vehicles
  • Completing all documentation and inspection check sheets

Specific desired skills and experience:

Trade qualified
Certificate lll in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter):Ability to work unsupervised and be a hands-on team player Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks Flexible and resourceful Strong communication skills.
