We are looking for fitter, who enjoy problem solving, are customer focused and working outdoors in a team environment. This role will be on a customer site providing work and maintenance on their facility.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person, who likes working with your hands and has the ability to build strong ongoing relationships across all levels of the business and with customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for high quality fitting work activities on a number of different assets to fulfil the customer’s needs.

You will ensure the highest standard of quality workmanship and exercise judgement to ensure reliable operation and/or fitting of Barwon Water’s supply and sewerage facilities.

**About you**

As a Fitter, you enjoy working for Barwon Asset Solutions primarily on external works and with your excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, have the ability to influence and engage others. You can build strong relationships with the confidence to work autonomously, contributing to the overall team goal.

You’re safety focused, motivated, and able to work according to operating procedures whilst proactively identifying problems and developing innovative solutions, with a real drive for continuous improvement.

You have strong computer skills with the ability to learn and use new technologies in the delivery of services to clients.

**What we’re looking for**
- You have a technical trade, Certificate III in Engineering e.g. Fitting & Turning
- A strong willingness to learn a new role, with previous experience in providing mechanical solutions in industrial and commercial work considered advantageous
- Highly motivated to work safely, learn our processes and systems with a high standard of efficiency and quality
- Good level of computer literacy
- Collaborative team member who works extremely well in team environments and also able to work autonomously
- An ability for reading/interpreting plans and adjusting plans when needed
- A current Victorian driver’s license is a mandatory requirement
- A pre-employment medical (including a health, drug and alcohol assessment) is required.
