Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
As part of our Strategic Governance and Compliance team, the Program Assurance Advisor works closely with our Program Delivery Team to identify and strengthen operational processes and controls with the goal of improving project outcomes.

**Key responsibilities and areas of focus include**:

- Control Development: Assess existing business controls with the intent of identifying processes which can be strengthened to enhance project outcomes. 
- Assurance:  Undertake assurance activities in accordance with the Delivery Authority's frameworks.
- Assurance:  Identify trends, and improvements in processes, operational systems, and project documentation.
- Assurance:  Proactively work with project and functional teams to implement improvements and recommendations. 
- Compliance and Assurance:  Provide guidance and advice to the Management Teams and members of staff on compliance and assurance matters. 
- Communication:  Consult with the Management Teams to communicate and ensure clarity of understanding and ownership of the compliance and assurance frameworks.
- Behavioural:  Promote and Support a corporate culture based on the Delivery Authority's Code of Conduct, Governance Principles, Integrity and a commitment to excellence and a high standard of professional ethics. 

About You
- High level of skill and experience in developing and delivering detailed assurance and compliance processes in complex government/private sector environments. 
- High level communication skills - the role requires the drafting of reports, briefings, and presentations. 
- Experience in the development and delivery of assurance and compliance frameworks aligned to industry leading practice and ISO38500 and ISO 19600. 
- Ability to work autonomously and in a highly engaged and team-based environment
- Experience in Internal Audit in a project environment is highly desirable.
