We are currently seeking a welcoming and organised Administration Officer to provide support to the management team at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Gwelup is home to 112 beds across two floors, including a dementia specific wing, and has been designed and built to maximise our residents’ enjoyment and wellbeing.
The role of Administration Officer offers diversity in daily tasks and lots of challenges, therefore we are looking for a well-rounded individual with a passion for customer service and a ‘can do’ attitude.
You will have highly tuned administration skills along with a genuine interest in the aged care industry. In this role, you will assess a variety of visitors’ needs and direct them to the appropriate channels in a professional and efficient manner.
This position is being offered of a 3 month fixed term contract, part-time working 30 hours per week Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
**About You**
- Demonstrated experience within a busy administrative position, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment, with understanding of financial management databases and payroll / rostering systems an advantage
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to learn new processes and software quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and report writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
**The Role**
- Provide a customer-focused service for employees, residents, visitors and suppliers
- Assist in the collection and recording of resident information related to admissions
- Prepare and maintain admission and information packs
- Assist in management of payroll, rostering and accounts receivable / payable processing
- Assist with enquiries from families in regards to residents
- Be the face of Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Other administrative duties as required
