**About the role**

The role of Purchasing Officer reports to the New Product Introduction
- Purchasing Manager and is responsible for delivering material support to the internal purchasing and engineering team in order to help facilitate prototype activities and provide a seamless transition into pre and mass production.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Perform full-cycle purchasing activities including sourcing, negotiating quotes, placing orders and monitoring deliveries.
- Work across departments in the organisation to support New Product Introduction in sourcing, planning and purchasing materials from design stage until product launch.
- Provide Bill of Materials costings for internal and external projects.
- Regularly monitor vendor pricing, availability, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers.
- Setting up new vendors/suppliers
- Attend conferences and trade shows to develop new vendor relations.
