**About the Role**

The roles key focus is to lead the Safety and compliance program for the VIC Liquids business and support the Operations Manager and his team in continuous improvement in culture, leadership systems and process. The role will provide support to the operation to ensure a safe, legal and compliant business, that understands and manages its risks appropriately.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support and coaching of VIC Liquids Operations and Management team, in particular the maintenance of SWMS and system of work as required by individual jobs and contracts
- Support tendering processes to win contracts and maintain customer reporting and compliance processes as required by the contract
- Lead ISO certification audits for VIC Liquids, supported by Group, with the aim to remain certified simplify and standardised as much as possible
- Oversee incident and injury management, including leading ICAM investigations
- Lead complex injury management cases with support from the operations team and coach the team in best practices
- Compliance auditing both internally and sub-contractors of the business
- COR, Safety and Quality compliance reviews and internal audits
- Lead safety improvement projects aimed at minimising risk and injuries
- Lead weekly safety reviews of performance with the operations teams
- Develop and publish reporting and insights for the business, including the progression to more lead indicators
- Governance of the training and onboarding processes
- Develop and deliver safety training and support toolbox meetings with teams

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or similar
- Experience in a safety function for a waste or construction service business / industry, preferably experience in NDD, Vac Loading and / or high-pressure water jetting processes
- Experience in ISO standards and certification processes
- Desirable to have knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Action orientated, with strong time management and organisational skills
- A continuous improvement mindset and a desire to make a positive difference
