**The opportunity**:Our Equity Research team seeks an Associate Equity Analyst to assist in research and support tasks within our research team. No experience in financial services? No problem - you may be just what we’re seeking. We value fresh perspectives. Your knowledge, thinking and analytical ability could help round out the team. The associate will work closely with analysts to research, develop and produce written investment recommendations on Australian and New Zealand listed equities. This role also involves general analytical, operational and administrative support for senior members of the equity research group. Our team of professionals focuses on generating insightful, differentiated, independent, and actionable research. This role is essential to our efforts and is Sydney based.

**Additionally, day to day could you see being involved in the following**
- Assist in writing company reports and insightful research on securities and industries.
- Work with analysts to incorporate covered companies’ key business drivers and financial health into research.
- Monitor and maintain valuation models on covered companies, as well as research and incorporate data sets.
- Help analysts surface attractive investment ideas internally and externally to support our products and clients.
- Learn and understand Morningstar’s Economic Moat methodology.
- Always act with independence and an ‘investors first’ attitude.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
