**Position Overview**
Responsibility and accountable for both the forward planning and day-to-day scheduling of maintenance of Hastings Site. To be an integral part of the Maintenance Leadership Team. To understand, comply and where necessary enforce, company policies and practices currently in place and any new policies/practices that are implemented.

**Outcomes/Objectives**
Health and Safety - Promoting/improving H&S culture and ensuring compliance within the Maintenance Department.

Change Management and Culture - Key member of the maintenance team and responsible for the sustainment of all the Plant Programmes, Policies and Procedures.

Staff Development and Training - A very ‘hands on’ approach to assisting with Inventory Management, Planning and scheduling training within all departments.

Cost Enablers - Understanding contributors to cost by using continuous improvement tools, through MCE to actively work towards zero loss. Including, but not limited to;
- Availability
- Maintenance Inventory
- Maintenance Overheads
- Schedule compliance,
- % emergency work,
- % Preventative Maintenance compliance

Continuous Improvement - to work with your department to implement and sustain improvements made through utilization of MCE/Lean tools and processes.

Operational Tasks - To ensure that all Planning and Scheduling tasks relevant to the process area are adhered to. Including, but not limited to;
- Develops the weekly to two weekly plans, and facilitates the weekly planning and scheduling meetings.
- Daily manages new work requests and work orders in the CMMS to ensure relative action is taken.
- Develops and manages work packs in line with the standardised weekly planning process.
- Identifies, sources and checks parts are available for maintenance planning.
- Maintains the reporting history against assets and work orders.
- Maintains Inventory and safety stocks levels, working with the Maintenance Inventory Controller and Supervisors, and based on Asset Criticality.
- Keep Preventative Maintenance Plans and Condition Inspection Routes up to date based on learning’s/findings and Asset Criticality.
- Contributes to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness by participating in reviews of major activities to seek ways of improvement, and reporting on such activities and initiating action where appropriate.
- Schedule work orders based on equipment availability, priority of work and asset criticality.
- Develop critical path for shut downs jointly with Engineering Manager and Supervisors and determine the duration.
- Review job completion lists and follow up with team members.
- Review weekly production schedule for duration of maintenance opportunities.
- Participate in KEM work streams and activities and be involved in KEM Audits.

Quality (Product and Systems) - To ensure that all Quality Management Systems (QMS) relevant to Maintenance are adhered to. Including, but not limited to;
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Compliance with the Food Safety Management System.

Compliance - To ensure all aspects of the day to day operation of the plant are compliant with Local body, Legislative and Corporate requirements.

Environment - To support the minimisation of the environmental impact of engineering/maintenance practices by:

- Planning the maintenance of plant and equipment, including pollution control equipment, to minimise impact on environment.
- Help identify processes or activities, which could result in environmental impact, waste generation, or pollution as they relate to maintenance activities (e.g. Cooling towers).
- Maintain routine maintenance and calibration records and ensure conformance to maintenance schedules for environment related plant and equipment.
- Understand and follow environmental policy, associated procedures, and documented processes.
- Timely escalation of environmental non-conformances and enactment of corrective actions as they relate to maintenance.

**To effectively perform in this job the position holder must have**:

- Verifiable experience in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Management with relevant industry qualifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, Quality (HACCP, GMP), Computerised Maintenance and Environmental Management Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to understand (and when required create/update) documentation in the any of the above mentioned systems.
- Demonstrated ability as a team player with good organisational, people and communication skills (across multiple departments and all levels of personnel).
- Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects with a result focus orientation, a logical thinker and good problem solving skills.
