The Commonwealth Bank Regional & Agribusiness Credit Risk Executive role is a Risk professional role decisioning agriculture and regional commercial loans for our customers with commercial and agricultural exposures greater than $5m across various geographies and industries. We are seeking a dynamic Risk professional who will make sound and commercial credit decisions, play a role in a small team of credit decisioners and support our business partners and their customers in achieving their growth aspirations.

**Your Impact**:
In this role you will report into the Executive Manager QLD, Regional and Agribusiness.

Location of this role is Darwin, Brisbane or any other suitable region in QLD.

In this role you will execute sound credit decisioning in line with risk frameworks, participate in monitoring credit risk to ensure that they are within limit thresholds and supports senior managers in establishing industry risk appetite and developing risk management standards that are consistent with industry best practice.

You will continuously assesses credit risk across individual or portfolio profiles and provide strategic insights and analysis to line management and business unit partners on credit related issues.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- A work engagement style that supports a team aiming to perform at a high level, adapt to change, and deliver on a best practice line 2 credit function;
- Contributing to projects and initiatives that impact on the Rural and Regional Credit portfolio and our business partners, including the transition of business customers to CBA;
- Re-designs processes to better manage, measure, and monitor credit risks;
- Communicate results and analysis of credit risks to management and key internal stakeholders and actions those with the business unit;
- Provide guidance and challenge to business partners, customers and stakeholders including client engagement; and
- Present at transaction based forums.

**We're interested in hearing from people who**:

- Have a demonstrated background in agriculture and commercial lending, holding a meaningful approval delegation, preferably for SMEs and ideally with strong agribusiness lending experience across a wide set of agriculture sectors;
- Capable and confident to make sound decisions;
- Engages well in a team environment;
- Have highly effective communication skills, tailoring messaging to the audience, and forming genuine connections with stakeholders;
- Can challenge the status quo to deliver simpler and easier, policies, procedures and pathways for customers to receive appropriate outcomes; and
- Preference for a degree qualification in finance-related field.
