**Permanently join our team as a Dangerous Goods Technical Advisor**

As the Technical Advisor - Dangerous Goods, you will be an invaluable part of the development of strategic operational priorities and initiatives, aimed at proactively identifying risks associated with Dangerous Goods and increasing Dangerous Goods expertise within the local area teams and the wider business unit.

You will be responsible for providing authoritative analysis, specialist knowledge and expertise to inform the decision-making of others, including the recommendation of business solutions, and contributes to the development of initiatives to reduce risk to health & safety associated with Dangerous Goods.

**Your accountabilities will include but not limited to**:

- Deliver expert Dangerous Goods technical advice and support to key internal/external stakeholders, providing practical guidance on compliance and the technical interpretation of legislation
- Lead the development of strategic Dangerous Goods projects and oversight plans
- Undertake and act as the technical authority on Quality Assurance activities relating to Dangerous Goods inspections
- Provide expert Dangerous Goods technical responses on complex or significant regulatory decisions including approvals, licensing, exemptions, determinations, authorisations, and guidance documentation
- Lead and coordinate Treatment & Resource Recovery (TaRR’s) response to high profile or sensitive Dangerous Goods incidents and events.
- Complete all reports and administrative requirements in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with required timeframes.

**About You.**
- Demonstrated ability and experience in the development of initiatives that aim to influence the behaviour or actions of others i.e., training
- Ability to undertake effective research and analysis and produce authoritative accurate reports and material readily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

**Qualifications required.**

A Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline such as science or engineering
