**Medical Receptionist**

With a great salary of up to $33 per hour and amazing work conditions, our client is looking for an organised and confident Medical Receptionist

Our client is pioneering a ‘one stop’ model of care for cost-effective delivery of women’s health services in the Australian Capital Territory Providing community-based early pregnancy & antenatal service to women in the Australian Capital Territory. Involved in global collaborations for streamlining the preoperative workup of women with suspected endometriosis. Establishing an ultrasound-based approach to preoperative diagnosis of endometriosis in the Australian Capital Territory.

You will be working alongside another receptionist; Monday through Tuesday are required as well as a half day on Wednesday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries, scheduling appointments and keeping those appointments on time while maintaining information confidentiality at all times
- Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation and comforting distressed patients - this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency
- Processing billing and payments, Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation
- Liaising with Medicare and private health funds
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and clinical supplies
- Equipment sterilisation and cleaning
- Booking and organising staff and doctor meetings
- Keeping a clean and calm reception area

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Experience as a medical receptionist is essential
- Best Practice knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to adjust your frame of thinking and quickly change priorities without getting flustered
- Be able to multi-task under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of patient care
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional personal presentation
- Great attitude, initiative, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated exceptional organisation and time management skills
