**The Role**:
The Work Health and Safety Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. Leading a capable team and supporting our committed leaders across the Australian Molycop business, the Work Health and Safety Manager is responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining Molycop’s comprehensive safety program, policies and procedures
- Promoting a culture of safety throughout the company, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement
- Overseeing Molycop’s safety system and monitoring key indicators and metrics to ensure its ongoing effectiveness
- Ensuring effective risk management including conducting risk assessments and implementing effective controls to mitigate identified hazards
- Enabling effective training of employees on critical safety competencies, procedures and standards
- Ensuring compliance with safety legislation, and with Molycop’s Codes of Practice
- Managing Molycop’s self-insurance workers compensation arrangements and return to work programme
- Supporting leaders in investigating incidents and near-misses, developing corrective actions and reviewing effectiveness

**About You**:
You will have a strong understanding of safety systems, a passion for driving excellent safety performance, and the ability to effectively manage a team. It’s also likely that you will have
- A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting leaders in a safety advisory or management role
- A strong track record of improving safety performance
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practices, and the ability to stay current with changes and updates
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to think critically and solve problems, with a strong focus on continuous improvement
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve common goals

You must also have a current and valid right to work in Australia.
