$75,277.56 to $95,272.36 p.a. plus superannuation (pro-rata) plus 20% loading (for after-hours attendance at meetings from 6.00pm)

- 15 hours per week (working on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday plus additional hours for after-hours meeting attendance from 6.30pm currently held on a Monday).
- Based in Double Bay opposite the iconic Redleaf Beach and central to public buses.

**About the role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well-organised Council Support Officer to join the Governance & Risk team at Woollahra Council on a permanent part-time basis.

As Council Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient running of various meetings held by Council including the Council, Committee and other panel meetings.

A key aspect of this role will include the taking and recording of live meeting minutes for the purpose of recording decisions which may occur outside normal business hours. At present, Council and Committee meetings are held on Monday evenings. In recognition of this requirement, you will be paid an hourly rate plus 20% loading per hour for meeting attendance after 6.00pm. Note: Applicants must be available to work on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday based on the current meeting schedule.

The role will:

- ensure and provide secretarial and administrative support for the effective and efficient

running of various meetings held by Council including the Council, Committee, the Audit,

Risk & Improvement Committee and other meetings.
- project and promote the image of Council as being efficient, courteous and customer

focused
- ensure effective administrative support, updating and tracking of various registers and undertaking other duties that may be reasonably determined from time to time by the Coordinator Governance and/or Manager Governance & Risk.

**About you**

To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in taking detailed minutes at Council/Committee level meetings and possess a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, you will demonstrate a high level of flexibility and the ability to work varied hours based on business requirements and be able to demonstrate excellent administrative skills.

**Essential Criteria**
- Proven experience in taking minutes at board, Council or Committee meeting level.
- Demonstrated active listening and the ability to follow debate/discussion at meetings.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills including the ability to set priorities and to work to deadlines.
- Demonstrated minimum typing speed of 50-60 words per minute.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision together with a commitment to working in a team environment and multi-skilling.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Advanced Word and Outlook.
- Previous experience in formal record keeping, including database management and use of an electronic document management systems.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a focus on enhancing customer experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to WH&S and EEO principles.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience in a Local Government environment.
- NSW Drivers Licence.
