**Medical Receptionist - Podiatry Clinic**

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a “can do” attitude towards tasks who has the ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team.

We pride ourselves on giving great customer service, so while previous experience isn’t necessary, a bubbly/kind personality with the ability to think on your feet and an enthusiasm to learn new skills is a must.

The position will be permanent part-time for a set roster of 19 hours a week spread over a Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the ability to fill in the roster when staff are away, on holidays and sick leave.

No weekend work as the clinic is only open Monday-Friday.

**Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Opening and closing the clinic as per the set procedure.
- Greet patients and other callers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Operate our online system, Cliniko.
- Make appointments for patients.
- Answering and managing incoming calls.
- Complete recalls and patient follow ups.
- Attend to patient enquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently.
- Accurately process patient payments via cash and EFTPOS, as well as any relevant Private Health and Medicare claims.
- Knowledge of the Medicare Benefit Scheme schedule and correct billing procedures.
- Invoice TAC, WorkCover, Third Party Payees, and NDIS.
- Follow the clinic’s DVA billing procedure.
- Balance receipts and cash, correcting any errors that may arise.
- Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc. respectfully and helpfully.
- Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing, and filing of all documents.
- Maintain the reception waiting area and shared areas including dusting, vacuuming and if necessary, cleaning spills.
- Sterilisation of instruments and surgical equipment.
- Washing and ironing of clinic towels and practitioner gowns.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
- At all times, maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
- Good level of computer literacy and knowledge.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
