**About the Role**

The research officer at Royal Melbourne Hospital will support the Australian Stroke Alliance's Culturally Adaptive Governance Framework (CAGF). This role involves working closely with Indigenous co-leads and the Senior Project Manager to implement and evaluate the CAGF, develop education and training programs, arrange project meetings, facilitate discussion groups, and compile reports. The aim is to promote the CAGF as a replicable tool for Indigenous health research across Australia

Your responsibilities will include:

- General administration duties such as meeting requests, agendas, minutes, and actions
- Attend all meetings relating to the Darak team and provide secretarial support.
- Regularly update evaluation templates with data collected from team meetings and lead the evaluation meeting

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will excel in time management, planning, and organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and responsiveness to feedback will enable effective collaboration with stakeholders.

You will also have:

- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture including contemporary issues such as Indigenous self-determination & governance in health and medical research
- Degree in public health, medical/health research, or a related discipline
- Experience working within public health, Indigenous health research or medical research projects, or in health or social care environments.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge/experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite
