**About the role**:
Technology and Asset Services delivers technology solutions that drive performance and efficiency and enable the Department to achieve its objectives and ensures that facilities and physical spaces are safe and functional.
The Technical Liaison Officer engages with teams across the agency to understand technology needs, provide advice, address issues, help staff have a more productive experience with technology, and identify challenges and opportunities. The role provides a direct point of contact for staff requesting IT assistance and performs key aspects of the IT Service Management (ITSM) process, including Service Desk, Service Request Management, and Incident Management. The role manages service requests and incidents logged via the ITSM portal, resolving, or escalating them as appropriate.
**Key Competencies**:
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively in an ICT service desk environment and/or in the use of a range of computer systems including using ITIL-based IT Service Management.
- Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, identify and determine the priority, impact and severity of incidents, problems and service requests, make informed decisions, and to select appropriate methods and techniques to deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to provide high levels of customer service, work cooperatively in a team environment and develop and deliver clear and appropriate information, documents and presentations.
**Remuneration**:
Competitive salary ($85,790 min - $95,413 max pa) plus superannuation.

**Qualifications**:
- **Essential**: Nil
- **Desirable**: ITIL Foundation or above, or equivalent certification in IT Service Management (ITSM)
**Special Conditions**:
- The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing with multiple vacancies available.
- Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) and Department of Human Services Working with Children Check required prior to employment.
