About the role
- The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist Medical Imaging will provide a full range of high‑quality diagnostic imaging services to The Prince Charles Hospital. The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist, Medical Imaging will assist the Director and Deputy Director, share responsibility for the clinical quality, cost efficiency and effective delivery of medical imaging services to include (but not be exclusive) Paediatric Imaging in The Prince Charles Hospital.
- The Medical Imaging Program of The Prince Charles Hospital provides a full range of medical imaging including digital radiography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance, CT angiography and nuclear medicine. The Department annually performs in excess of 100,000 examinations in a PACS and QRIS environment in a growing proportion of paediatric cases since the implementation of emergency and inpatient paediatric services.
- The department employs radiologists, radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists and physicians, nursing personnel, administrative staff and operational support personnel. Service is provided on a routine and an emergency basis, day and night.

Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification as a medical practitioner and registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia including proof of specialist registration / qualification relevant to the position.
Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
