About the role

Planned expansion of the services will include 10 ED & 56 inpatient beds, 2 operating theatres for elective and emergency surgery with an expansion of outpatient services.

Current and planned paediatric services for the facility includes:

  • General surgery
  • Orthopaedics
  • ENT
  • Plastic surgery
  • Endocrine
  • Respiratory including cystic fibrosis
  • Cardiology including congenital heart disease
  • Allergies
  • Outreach oncology


The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist Medical Imaging will provide a full range of high‐quality diagnostic imaging services to The Prince Charles Hospital.

The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist, Medical Imaging will assist the Director and Deputy Director, share responsibility for the clinical quality, cost efficiency and effective delivery of medical imaging services to include (but not be exclusive) Paediatric Imaging in The Prince Charles Hospital.

The Medical Imaging Program of The Prince Charles Hospital provides a full range of medical imaging including digital radiography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance, CT angiography and nuclear medicine.

The Department annually performs in excess of 100,000 examinations in a PACS and QRIS environment in a growing proportion of paediatric cases since the implementation of emergency and inpatient paediatric services.

  • Knowledge and experience in paediatric radiology
  • Ability to integrate with clinicians to influence patient outcomes.
  • Capacity to advocate for and help develop TPCH Paediatric Radiology Service
