**The Role**:
Having undergone a recent restructure at Melbourne Water, the Business Performance and Analytics team has positioned itself as a centre of expertise to support the bold initiative to Build a Better Melbourne Water. You will be joining a team that contributes to Melbourne’s high standard of living by ensuring Melbourne Water is financially viable into the future to provide ongoing high-quality services and meet our vision of enhancing life and liveability.

This is a pure Financial Analyst role with responsibility for supporting the Finance Business Partnering team in delivering the budget and forecast process, closely followed by performing financial analysis for the allocated portfolios.

There is an expectation the incumbent will bring a process improvement mindset to the team, and once they have immersed themselves thoroughly in the role, they are able to review the current financial processes and identify, recommend and initiate process improvements.

**Your Skills and Experience**:
You have an exceptional ability to be highly organised and contribute to team meetings to set team priorities. When meeting with key internal stakeholders your reliable attention to detail will be utilised as you discuss your analysis findings and guide them with their forecast and budget process.

The team requires a professional who can hit the ground running. You bring a great deal of energy, initiative and passion for your work which has been demonstrated in your previous roles. Your work style naturally lends itself to contributing to an inclusive and team-oriented workplace culture that is collaborative, professional and engaged. This role will suit a person who comes to work, rolls up their sleeves and is happy to respond to the work that comes in on their desk and adaptable to the team’s needs. We won’t shy away from saying we need a hardworking, flexible Analyst who can roll with the ebb and flow of the workload and have volumes of emotional intelligence as you interact with your colleagues. Given the workload that we are anticipating in 2023 and onwards, we also expect our staff to self-manage their work/life balance and know how to pace themselves.

This is an Ongoing and Fulltime role, with some flexible work options available, within reason. The team currently works in the office 2 days a week, and from home 3 days a week. You will be joining a dynamic high performing team, with a senior manager who cares about the individual team members and the team and their development.
