We are seeking a Nightshift Winemaker for the 2023 vintage to assist with winemaking tasks, as directed by the Senior Winemakers. You will be responsible for all winemaking duties over nightshift (6pm-6am, six days per week, dependant on workload), with a particular emphasis on monitoring white ferments. You will be exposed to traditional winemaking methods on a broad and exciting range of varietals.

The successful applicant should have a keen work ethic and the ability to maintain a sense of humor after a long shift. We have a strong positive culture and are looking for someone proactive and enthusiastic to join us in our historic cellar.

Job Requirements:

- An undergraduate degree in Oenology.
- Practical winemaking experience, at least 3 vintages.
- Current High Risk (Forklift) Licence.
- Practical laboratory skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and EzyWine will be viewed favorably.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Leadership qualities with an ability to direct and help staff.

Key points:

- A 10-week contract with potential for extension
- Start date to be negotiated by both parties - envisaged to be mid February
- Fixed salary to be determined commensurate with experience
