Your new role
- Delivery of Open Pit drill and blast design patterns to allow contract surface mining operations to mine safely and efficiently
- Design/Execution of explosive charge sheets, timing and product selection.
- Ensure drill and blast designs, tie-ins and approvals are completed before schedule requirement.
- Supporting mine scheduling and design functions to support safe, cost effective open pit production
- Shift work packs for the drill and blast crews
- Input into the short term mine plan and ensure alignment to longer term plans to meet production targets
- Complete Post Blast Analysis and report on problematic shots
- Analyse and monitor drill yield, powder factor, dig rates, throughput rates and conformance to the plan and implement changes to improve performance

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in Drill and Blast at an Open Cut Coal Mining operation
- Strong mine planning aptitude
- Minimum 10 Years’ experience in the drill and blast industry.
- Certificate in Support shotfiring operations - RIIBLA201D
- Current Mining Supervisor - G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
- Current Carry out the Risk Management Process - G2 - RIIRIS402D
