**What you'll be doing**

We are seeking a qualified Dietitian to join the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Nutrition & Dietetics Department. We have a Temporary 12 month Full Time position at Shellharbour Hospital with possibility of extension at same or reduced hours.

We are seeking Dietitians with an interest in Clinical Dietetics, who demonstrate a willingness to learn and work as part of a team and who will contribute to a positive culture within the Department. As the sole dietitian at Shellharbour hospital we are looking for someone who demonstrates skills in multidisciplinary collaboration, has a broad range of experience in the inpatient setting and has an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider dietetics team. Level ½ Dietitians may be required to work across different sites in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region. Recent post graduate Dietitian experience in the clinical setting is desirable.

**This is a temporary Full Time maternity relief position until 31 March 2024 with the possibility of an extension at same/reduced hours**

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**
- Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Broad range of recent inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality dietetic services including individual and group consults.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
- Current NSW (or equivalent) Class C drivers licence.
